Krujë Castle, Old Bazaar & Hidden Paths

You'll start your journey in the heart of Krujë, with a short 15-minute walk through the city down to the Old Bazaar (Çarshia e Vjetër). You'll wander through the wooden-roofed cobblestone streets, meeting local artisans who still weave carpets on looms and craft silver the way their ancestors did 400 years ago.

From the bazaar you'll continue up to Krujë Castle, feeling the weight of the massive stone walls that successfully repelled the Ottoman Empire for decades. Your local guide will walk you through the fortress on the trail of Skënderbeu, Albania's national hero, with panoramic viewpoints overlooking central Albania and the coastline beyond.

Along the way you can choose to enter the Skanderbeg Museum and the Ethnographic Museum (both optional, with separate entrance fees). The total tour runs anywhere from 1h 15min to 2h 45min depending on whether you visit one, both, or neither museum.
