Holy Cave of Sari Salltik & Mountain Views
Mount Krujë rises directly behind the city and hides one of Albania's most venerated spiritual sites: the holy cave of Sari Salltik. The drive to the trailhead is scenic in itself, winding up past alpine meadows and dense pine stands.
From the parking area, a moderate forest trail brings you to the cave entrance and an adjoining Bektashi shrine. Your guide will share the legends woven around this site, revered by both Christian and Muslim Albanians for centuries.
After the cave, we continue up to a panoramic ledge where, on a clear day, the Adriatic Sea shimmers on the horizon. This is the perfect lunch stop and photo opportunity.
